    How it works

    One JPG becomes a still GIF. Several JPGs become one animated GIF that plays in upload order. Change the order with the arrows in the list and pick a frame delay between 0.1 and 2 seconds.

    If the photos have different sizes, each one is fitted inside the first photo's size, centered, and the leftover area is filled with white.

    Things to know

    GIF is a 256-color format, so photo edges can look a little rough. It is fine for short clips in chat apps and forums. If quality matters, use APNG.

    How do I make an animated GIF?

    Upload several photos, use the arrows in the list to set the order, and pick a frame delay. The frames play in upload order and loop.

    The colors look rougher than the original.

    A GIF frame can hold at most 256 colors, so smooth gradients in photos can look banded. To keep the colors, APNG or a video is a better choice.

    The GIF file is too big.

    GIF compresses poorly, so the file grows quickly with size and frame count. Try a GIF size of 480px or 320px, or use fewer frames.

    Do my files get uploaded to a server?
