    • Up to 30MB and 50 megapixels per file, 20 images at a time
    • Animated GIFs: first frame or all frames (up to 300, in one ZIP)
    • Transparent areas become white

Higher numbers mean better quality and a larger file. Between 80 and 90 the difference is hard to see.

    What to do next

    How it works

Upload a GIF and click Convert to save the first frame as JPG. To pick a specific moment from an animation, choose "All frames (ZIP)" and unzip the result.

Each frame is saved as it appears on screen, composited over the frames before it.

    Things to know

Only the first 300 frames are saved. Very large GIFs can run out of memory on phones, so try a desktop computer if that happens.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I extract every frame of an animated GIF?

Yes. Choose "All frames (ZIP)" and you get one JPG per frame in a single ZIP file. File names carry a sequence number like 001, 002.

Some frames look broken or incomplete.

Many GIFs store only the parts that change between frames. This tool composites each frame over the previous ones so you get what you see on screen. If frames still look wrong, the GIF itself may be damaged.

    What happens to transparent GIFs?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. To keep transparency, use GIF to PNG.

Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
