What to do next
How it works
Pick your files, choose the output format and click Convert. You can add several images at once and save them one by one or as a ZIP.
When converting to JPG you can choose the quality. 80 is fine for email or chat apps. For printing or further editing, use 90 or higher.
Things to know
JPG has no transparency, so transparent PNG areas are filled with white. Keep logos and icons that need transparency as PNG.
Animated GIFs and HEIC files need their own converters. iPhone photos can be converted with the HEIC to JPG tool.
Frequently asked questions
What changes when I convert PNG to JPG?
Transparent areas become white and the file usually gets much smaller. JPG is lossy, so images with a lot of text or thin lines can look slightly soft around the edges.
Does converting JPG to PNG improve the quality?
No. Detail that was lost when the JPG was saved does not come back. PNG will not make it worse, but the file gets bigger. Use PNG only when you need a transparent background or lossless editing.
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside this browser tab and the files never leave your device. The results disappear when you close the page, so save what you need.
My photo comes out sideways.
Phone photos store their orientation in EXIF data, and the converter applies it when saving. If the result is still sideways, the original was saved already rotated.
