Open source licenses

Motifly's file tools run the open source software below inside your browser, and your files are not sent to our server. Each program keeps its original license. Motifly's own site code is a separate program and is not covered by these licenses.

FFmpeg (ffmpeg.wasm core 0.12.10), GPL-2.0-or-later

@ffmpeg/core 0.12.10, which we use to convert, compress, trim and subtitle video and audio, is FFmpeg n5.1.4 built with x264, x265 and other libraries under the GPL configuration. We ship it unmodified. Under the GNU GPL anyone may copy, modify and redistribute this program, and the exact source used for the build can be downloaded below. Full license text: GPL-2.0 · GPL-3.0.

Ghostscript (ghostscript-wasm 0.0.2), AGPL-3.0

@jspawn/ghostscript-wasm 0.0.2, which we use to convert EPS files to PNG, JPG, SVG and PDF, is Artifex's GPL Ghostscript built for WebAssembly. We ship it unmodified. Full license text: AGPL-3.0.
