    What to do next

    How it works

Upload your JPG files, pick a compression method and click Convert. Several files can be converted at once and downloaded as a ZIP.

JPG photos are saved as 8-bit RGB TIFF.

    Things to know

TIFF is a large format by nature. Uncompressed, it takes width times height times 3 to 4 bytes, so a 12 megapixel photo can exceed 30MB. There is no CMYK conversion for print; the image stays RGB.

    Frequently asked questions

Does converting to TIFF improve quality?

No. TIFF only stores the image you give it without further loss. Detail already lost when the JPG was saved does not come back. Use it when a print shop, publisher or agency asks for TIFF.

Should I choose LZW or uncompressed?

LZW shrinks the file without losing quality and opens in Photoshop, Windows and macOS. Choose None only when the recipient specifically asks for an uncompressed TIFF.

    What resolution (dpi) is saved?

300 dpi. The pixel count does not change. The dpi value is what print software uses to work out the physical size.

Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
