PDF to TIFF converter
Convert PDF pages to TIFF images in your browser, as one multi-page TIFF or one file per page. Free, no upload.
Result
Upload a PDF and click Convert. The TIFF appears here. Browsers cannot preview TIFF, so save the file and open it on your computer.
What to do next
How it works
Upload a PDF, choose the output type, resolution and color, then click Convert. To convert only some pages, type a range like "1-3, 5" in the page range field.
The defaults (one multi-page TIFF, 200 dpi, LZW) match what fax services and electronic filing systems most often ask for.
Things to know
An uncompressed 300 dpi color page is about 25MB for an A4 page. That is why there is a limit on how much converts at once. If you go over it, the tool asks you to lower the resolution or split the range.
Text becomes pixels, so you cannot search or copy it in the TIFF.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between one multi-page TIFF and one file per page?
A multi-page TIFF is a single file you page through like a PDF. Fax services and electronic filing systems usually ask for this. One file per page gives you a separate TIFF for each page, delivered as a ZIP.
The file is too big.
TIFF is a large format. Grayscale cuts the size to about a third, and 200 dpi is less than half the size of 300 dpi. LZW compression shrinks the file without losing quality.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
A PDF with an open password has to be unlocked first with the PDF password tool.
Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
