TIFF to SVG converter

Trace a scanned TIFF logo, stamp or signature into an SVG vector in your browser. Free, no upload.

Drop TIFF files here or choose files.

    • Up to 100MB per file, 10 files at a time. Multi-page TIFFs: first page only
    • Best for one-color logos, stamps, signatures and icons. Photos turn into blobs of color and make large files
    • Large images are reduced to 1,600 to 2,000px on the longest side before tracing

One color is cleanest for stamps, signatures and handwriting. Use 8 colors for a color logo, 16 if it has a little gradient.

Simple removes specks and smooths curves. Fine keeps thin lines and small text, at the cost of a larger file.

Removes the white background so the image sits on any surface. White areas inside the logo become transparent too.

    Result

Upload a TIFF and click Convert. The traced SVG appears here. Photos turn into blobs of color and make large files. This works best for one-color logos, stamps and handwriting.

    What to do next

    How it works

Upload a TIFF and click Convert. The tool traces the outlines of the image and saves them as SVG (vector). SVG stays sharp at any size, which makes it good for banners, business cards and web icons. Good for scanned stamps, signatures and logos. Only the first page of a multi-page TIFF is converted.

Choose One color for stamps, signatures and handwriting, and Color logo for logos with color. If the result has a lot of specks, set Detail to Simple. If thin lines break up, set it to Fine and run it again.

    Things to know

Because it traces outlines, the result is not a pixel-perfect copy. Small text and thin lines can smear, and text becomes shapes (paths) rather than a font. If you have the original AI or EPS file of the logo, that is more accurate.

Photos turn into blobs of color with thousands of paths and a large file. Large images are reduced to 1,600 to 2,000px on the longest side before tracing, and the SVG is displayed at the original size.

    Frequently asked questions

Does it work with a TIFF from a scanner?

Yes. Black-and-white (1-bit), grayscale and color scans all work. For a scanned stamp or signature, One color is cleanest. Only the first page of a multi-page TIFF is converted. For other pages, split it with TIFF to PNG and then use PNG to SVG.

Can I convert a photo to SVG?

It works, but it is not recommended. A photo turns into blobs of color, like a poster, with thousands of paths, and the file ends up larger than the original. This tool is made for images with few colors and clean edges: one-color logos, stamps, signatures, handwriting and icons.

What is the difference between one color, color logo and detailed color?

One color traces only the dark areas in a single color, using the ink color (red for a stamp, black for a signature), which gives the cleanest result. Color logo uses up to 8 of the most common colors, detailed color up to 16. Logos with few colors do fine with 8. If there is a gradient, 16 gets a little closer.

Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. Tracing runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
