What to do next
How it works
Upload photos, pick a block size and click Convert. The whole photo is pixelated. Each block is filled with the average color of the pixels inside it.
Several photos can be processed with the same size at once, and you can download them one by one or as a ZIP.
Things to know
Right now only the whole photo is processed. Hiding just a face or a license plate is not available yet.
If the goal is to hide personal information, use large blocks. Small blocks can still be read.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pixelate only a face or a license plate?
Not yet. The whole photo is pixelated. Until area selection is ready, you can crop the photo to the part you want to show, or cut out the part to hide and use that. Partial pixelation is in the works.
Can the pixelation be undone to reveal the original?
The saved result keeps only the average color of each block, so the original pixels are gone. With very small blocks, text or faces can still be guessed, so for personal information choose Large.
How is the block size decided?
Small, Medium and Large divide the photo's shorter side into 100, 50 or 25 blocks. On a 4000 by 3000 photo, Medium gives 60px blocks. You can also enter an exact size in pixels.
Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
