    What to do next

    How it works

Upload a PDF and the first page appears. Drag to draw the area to keep. The outside is dimmed. Drag again to redraw, or click Clear crop to start over. Apply to all pages crops every page by the same proportion.

Useful for black scan edges, wide margins on slide PDFs, or keeping just one part of a receipt. You can also rotate pages from the list on the left.

    Things to know

Cropping only changes the visible area, so hidden content stays in the file. If you are trying to cut out personal information, use Redact PDF instead.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the cropped-out part deleted?

No. Only the PDF's visible area (CropBox) is reduced. The hidden text and images stay in the file, and another program can restore the full page. To remove content, use Redact PDF.

My pages have different sizes. What happens with Apply to all pages?

The area you set on the current page is converted to a proportion of the page size and applied the same way to every page. If page sizes differ a lot, check the preview.

Does cropping reduce the file size?

Hardly. Only the visible area changes, the content stays. To shrink the file, use Compress PDF.

Does my file get uploaded to a server?

No. Opening, editing and saving all happen inside this browser. The file is never sent over the network, and it is gone when you close the page, so click Download to keep it.
