How it works
Upload a PDF. The page list is on the left and the current page in the middle. Pick a tool from the toolbar (text, highlighter, cover, shapes such as rectangle, circle, line and arrow, checkmark, date, time, note, image, signature) and click or drag on the page to add it. Drag items to move them and use the handle at the bottom right to resize.
Undo (Ctrl+Z) and redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z) are available. In the page list you can rotate or delete pages and add blank ones. When you are done, click Download.
Things to know
Added text is stored as an image, so it cannot be selected or searched. Cover only hides text. If you need to remove personal information, use Redact PDF.
Pages with rotation metadata, such as scans, are positioned as they appear on screen. For important documents, open the saved file and check it once.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the text that is already in the PDF?
Not directly. Cover the part you want to change with a white box (Cover) and add new text on top. The covered text stays inside the file, though.
Can I select or search the text I add later?
No. To keep the file small, text is added as a high-resolution image instead of an embedded font. It looks sharp on screen and in print, but it cannot be selected or searched.
Does covering text delete it?
No. A white or black box is placed on top, and the text underneath stays in the file, where copy and search can reveal it. To remove personal information completely, use Redact PDF.
Does my file get uploaded to a server?
No. Opening, editing and saving all happen inside this browser. The file is never sent over the network, and it is gone when you close the page, so click Download to keep it.
