How it works
Draw on the signature pad with a mouse, finger or stylus and it becomes a signature image right away. If you have a photo of a signature on paper, upload it and remove the white background. If you only need the signature, save it as a PNG.
Stamps work the same way. Photograph a stamp on white paper, upload it and turn on Remove white background to get a transparent stamp image. The tool does not generate stamps from a typed name because of the potential for misuse.
The flow is: add the PDF, draw a signature (or upload a stamp or signature image) and add any text, click Add to page, drag it onto the signature line in the preview, then click Convert. To sign several pages, click Add on each page or use the copy button on a placed item to repeat it in the same spot on every page. Blanks like name and date can be filled with Text.
Things to know
The signature and stamp in the output PDF are images and can be copied out. Do not share your original stamp image. For documents going outside, flattening the PDF or adding a password is safer.
Rotated pages can shift the placement, so open the result and check it. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
Frequently asked questions
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
It is widely used for everyday contracts and consent forms where the parties accept it as their signature. It is an image placed on the page, though, so it cannot be verified against tampering. For documents that require a certified electronic signature, use a certified e-signature service.
Can I draw on my phone?
Yes. Draw on the signature pad with a finger or stylus. Turning the phone sideways gives you more room. Extra white space is trimmed automatically.
I just want the signature image for use elsewhere.
Once you create a signature it is listed under your signatures, stamps and text. Click the download icon there to get a PNG with a transparent background that you can drop into Word, Google Docs or an email signature.
Can I add a stamp? Will the tool make one for me?
Stamp an existing stamp on white paper, photograph it and upload it. Remove white background turns it into a transparent stamp image. The tool does not generate stamps from a typed name, since that could be used to stamp in someone else's name.
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF, signatures and stamps are all processed inside your browser and never sent over the network.
