What to do next
How it works
Upload a PDF and the Image tool is already selected. Click Choose image to pick a file. It appears in the center of the current page. Drag to move it and use the handle at the bottom right to resize (the ratio is kept). Signatures can be drawn with the Signature tool.
To place the same image somewhere else, click that spot. When you are done, click Download.
Things to know
Several large photos make the PDF big. If it is too large to email, use Compress PDF. To drop in a stamp image with its white background removed, use Sign a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Which image types can I add?
PNG, JPG and WebP. PNG transparency is kept, and you can lower the opacity from 100 down to 25 percent for a watermark effect.
I want the same logo on several pages.
After choosing the image once, go to another page and click where you want it. The same image is placed again. It is stored only once in the file, so the size does not grow.
Does the image lose quality?
PNG and JPG are embedded as they are. Images over 3,000px on the longest side, WebP files, and photos with rotation metadata are re-saved at 3,000px or less before embedding.
Does my file get uploaded to a server?
No. Opening, editing and saving all happen inside this browser. The file is never sent over the network, and it is gone when you close the page, so click Download to keep it.
