What to do next
How it works
Upload photos and click Convert. The tool takes the largest square from the center of the photo and crops it to a circle. The area outside the circle is transparent in the saved PNG.
You can set the output size to 512px or 1024px, and add a white, black or custom ring around the edge.
Things to know
The crop is always centered. If the subject is off to one side, adjust with Crop image first.
Tall photos lose their top and bottom, wide photos lose their left and right.
Frequently asked questions
The face is not centered. Can I move it?
This tool takes a square from the center of the photo and crops it to a circle. To change the position, first use Crop image to make a 1:1 crop with the face in the middle, then upload that.
Why is it saved as PNG only?
To leave the area outside the circle transparent, the format has to support transparency. JPG does not, so the corners would be filled with white or black. You can upload the PNG directly as a profile picture in most apps.
I chose 512px and it looks blurry.
If the square from the original is smaller than 512px, it gets upscaled and can look soft. In that case pick Original.
Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside this browser and your files never leave your device. Results disappear when you close the page, so use the save button to download them.
