Fill in what you need. The preview updates as you type.

With both dates typed, the clothes counts follow the days instead of the length below.

One line per category: Category: item, item. A new category name starts a new table. Add x 3 after an item for a quantity.

What you type is not saved on our server.

A starting list

The items are the usual ones for that kind of trip. Cross off what you do not need and add what the list does not know about, such as a wedding outfit or hiking boots, in the extra items box.

How to use it

Pick the trip type and how long you are going, and the list fills six tables: documents and money, clothes, toiletries, electronics, health and extras. Clothes carry a quantity that follows the number of days, so a week shows seven tops and eight pairs of socks. Type anything else in the extra items box under the category it belongs to and it joins that table.

Print it and tick the boxes as things go in the bag, or save the PDF to your phone. For a trip with flights, hotels and confirmation numbers, the travel itinerary template holds the bookings and a packing sheet in one Excel file.

Things to watch

Carry-on liquids are limited to 3.4 ounces (100 ml) per container in one quart bag, so pick travel sizes for the toiletries table if you are not checking a bag. Keep medications, documents and chargers in the bag that stays with you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it for a family?

Print one list per person, or add lines like Clothes: Riley's swimsuits x 2 in the extra items box. Shared things such as the first aid kit and chargers only need to be on one list.

Why does a two-week trip show 10 tops?

Most people wash clothes once on a trip that long. If you will not have a washer, type the count you want in the extra items box, for example Clothes: extra shirts x 4.

Is there a camping version?

Yes. The camping checklist template has shelter, kitchen, safety and campsite tables and scales the food lines by the number of nights.

Is what I type saved anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
