Move-out: check the lease first
Many leases list what must be cleaned before the deposit is returned (carpets, oven, inside appliances). Add those items to the list and take photos of each room when you finish.

How to use it
Pick Deep clean or Move-out and the page fills with rooms as headings and the usual items under each, with a box to check. Type the property address, the date and who cleaned, or leave them empty. To use your own rooms, type one room per line with the items after a colon.
Print one copy per clean. For a routine (what gets done each day, week and month) use the cleaning schedule template instead.
Things to watch
On a move-out, clean from the top down (fans and fixtures first, floors last) and leave the floors for after the furniture is out. Keep the checked list and your photos until the deposit is back.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add a room?
Yes. Type the rooms box in full, one room per line, such as Garage: sweep the floor, wipe shelves. Your lines replace the preset.
Is this enough to get a deposit back?
It covers the items most leases name. Read your lease for anything specific (professional carpet cleaning, for example) and add it. Rules on deposits differ by state.
Does it fit on one page?
The presets do: five rooms with four or five items each. If you add many items the preview shows a second page; the warning under the preview tells you when.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
