What to do next
How it works
Add PowerPoint files (PPTX, PPT) and click Convert. Each slide becomes one PDF page. Use it to email or print a deck, or to share it with someone who does not have PowerPoint.
Things to know
The files go through our conversion server (the original and result are deleted right after). Animations and videos are dropped, and fonts that are not installed on the server are replaced with similar free fonts.
Frequently asked questions
Are animations and videos included?
No. A PDF is made of still pages, so each slide goes in as a single picture of its final state. Videos and audio are dropped.
Are speaker notes included?
No. Only the slides themselves are converted.
Are my files uploaded? Do they stay on the server?
Yes, these files go through our conversion server because the formatting breaks when a browser does it alone. The file is placed in encrypted temporary storage. The original is deleted the moment the conversion finishes and the result PDF the moment this page downloads it. If you close the window midway, anything left is deleted automatically within a day. File names and contents are not logged. If a document holds sensitive data such as Social Security numbers, redact it before uploading.
What software does the conversion?
LibreOffice, the open source office suite, runs on the server and does the conversion. Macros are not executed. Fonts that are not installed on the server, such as Calibri or Malgun Gothic, are replaced with similar free fonts.
How many files can I convert per day?
Because the server costs money to run, you can convert 5 files a day without an account and 50 a day when signed in (one file counts as one conversion). Failed conversions do not count.
