Split a CSV file
Cut a large CSV into files with a fixed number of rows each, with the header repeated in every file. Runs in your browser, free, no sign-up.
Result
Add a CSV and click Convert. CSV files with the number of rows you set show up here and can be saved together as a ZIP.
What to do next
How it works
Add a CSV, set the rows per file (1,000 by default) and click Convert. The file names end in -01, -02 and so on, and the original delimiter is kept.
It is handy for services with a row limit per upload, or for a CSV too big for Excel to open at once.
Things to know
If a quoted cell is never closed, everything to the end of the file is read as one cell. The result tells you when that happens, so check the original.
Frequently asked questions
Is the header in every file?
Yes, by default the header row is placed at the top of every output file. Turn it off to keep it in the first file only.
What about cells that contain line breaks?
Line breaks and commas inside quoted cells are read as part of the cell, so a row is never cut in the middle. The row count is based on actual data rows.
Why choose an output encoding?
The default, UTF-8 with BOM, opens correctly in Excel. If the original is EUC-KR and the system you upload to expects the same, choose EUC-KR.
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside this browser tab and the files never leave your device. The results disappear when you close the page, so save what you need.
