How to use it
A project report puts what you planned next to what happened. Type one goal per line, then describe what was delivered in date order. In the results box write "result | target | actual" on each line and the form works out the percentage of target. Add budget lines with the budgeted and spent amounts in dollars and the table fills in percent spent, totals and what is left.
Lessons learned reads best when it is specific. "Open four check-in tables" is something the next project can act on; "it was crowded" is not.
Things to watch
If the project was grant funded or billed to a client, the funder usually has its own closeout or final report form. Use this one for the internal write-up, then copy the figures into theirs and attach receipts separately. Keep participant lists and other personal details out of the body.

Frequently asked questions
How is percent spent calculated?
Spent divided by budget, times 100, rounded to one decimal. The total row shows the overall percentage and the remaining amount.
A line went over budget. What happens?
The preview shows a warning listing the lines over budget. The document itself is unchanged, so explain the overrun in the notes column or under lessons learned.
How many sign-off boxes do I need?
Match your company's approval chain. A small team often uses one box for the manager. Larger companies add Reviewed by and Approved by. Pick None if approvals happen by email and you only need the body of the form.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
