FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Acme Inc. launches Acme Monitor, a subscription service that tracks shop-floor equipment for small manufacturers
Sensors clip onto existing machines; first three months free for shops with fewer than 50 employees
AUSTIN, Texas, October 5, 2026 -- Acme Inc. today announced Acme Monitor, a subscription service that shows small manufacturers when their machines are running, when they stop and why. The service goes on sale October 15 starting at $49 per machine per month.
Acme Monitor uses a clip-on sensor that attaches to existing equipment without rewiring. Run time, stoppages and the reason logged by the operator appear on a dashboard that works on any phone or laptop. There is no server to install and no annual contract.
The company tested the service in 30 shops across Texas and Ohio over the past year. Shops in the pilot cut unplanned downtime by an average of 22 percent in the first 90 days.
"Small shops run on the same thin margins as big plants but have never had the data. We built Acme Monitor so a ten-person machine shop can see its floor the way a Fortune 500 plant does," said Taylor Kim, chief executive officer of Acme Inc..

###
How to use it
Type the company, the city and state for the dateline and the release date. The headline is the company name plus the news; the subheadline adds one detail. The lead paragraph answers who, what, when and where in two or three sentences, and the dateline (AUSTIN, Texas, October 5, 2026) is put in front of it for you.
Use the body for how it works, prices and availability, with a blank line between paragraphs. Type the quote without quotation marks and name the speaker with title and company; the template punctuates it AP style. The About paragraph is your standard boilerplate, and the media contact closes the page above the ### mark.
Things to watch
Write in the third person and past or present tense, the way a reporter would. Cut adjectives like leading and innovative; they get deleted anyway. One page is the norm, two at most. For an embargo, replace the release line with EMBARGOED UNTIL and the exact time and time zone.

Frequently asked questions
What does ### mean?
It marks the end of the release so an editor knows nothing follows. -30- is an older version of the same mark. Leave it in.
Why is the city in capitals?
That is the AP dateline style: city in capitals, state spelled out or abbreviated AP style, then the date. Large well-known cities such as CHICAGO or SAN FRANCISCO stand alone without a state.
Should the headline be in title case?
Most newsrooms prefer sentence case, like a headline in a newspaper. Keep it under about 100 characters so it survives email subject lines and search results.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
