Minutes are most useful when people get them while the meeting is fresh. If you record the meeting, tell attendees first; some states require consent from everyone.

How to use it
The parts people re-read are the decisions and the action items. Keep the discussion short, one or two lines per agenda item, and list each decision on its own line. Action items go in as task | owner | due, one per line, and become a table.
Add the next meeting so the follow-up is on the record. The sign-off boxes are off by default; turn them on when minutes need a formal approval, such as board or committee minutes.
Things to watch
Minutes are shared, so write what was decided rather than who said what, unless your group records votes. Boards and HOAs often have rules about what minutes must contain. Follow those first.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to record who said what?
Not for most team meetings. Record decisions, owners and dates. Boards, committees and HOAs often need motions and votes recorded by name, so check your bylaws.
What if there is only one agenda item?
Type one line and it shows as item 1. Leave it empty and the form leaves blank lines to write in by hand.
How many sign-off boxes do I need?
Match your company's approval chain. A small team often uses one box for the manager. Larger companies add Reviewed by and Approved by. Pick None if approvals happen by email and you only need the body of the form.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
