Director of Marketing, Northwind Commerce

Dear Taylor Kim:
Thank you for offering me the position of Growth Marketing Manager at Northwind Commerce. I am pleased to accept, and I am glad to be joining the team.
As we discussed, my first day will be November 2, 2026. I understand that my starting salary will be $92,000 per year. I also want to confirm the following: health and dental coverage begins on the first of the month after my start date; I will work from home on Mondays and Fridays; 15 days of paid time off in the first year.
Thank you again for this opportunity. I will complete any paperwork you send before my start date, and please let me know if you need anything else from me before then. I look forward to getting started.
Sincerely,
ย

How to use it
Type your name and contact block, the hiring manager's name with their title and company, the position, the start date and the pay from the written offer. Add anything else you want on record, one item per line, such as remote days or when benefits start. The letter accepts in the first paragraph, confirms each term in one sentence, and closes with thanks.
Turn on Email version if you are replying by email: the address blocks and date drop out and a subject line is added. Otherwise print it or save the PDF, sign it and send it the way the offer letter asked.
Things to watch
If anything in the offer is not what you discussed, do not accept yet. Use the counter offer letter template on this site to raise it first; accepting and then asking for changes is much harder. Once you have accepted, tell any other employers you are talking to, and use the decline a job offer template for offers you turn down.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to send a letter if I already said yes on the phone?
Yes. The written acceptance is what goes in your file and what you can point to if the start date or pay is later remembered differently. Send it the same day or the next.
Should I list every benefit from the offer?
No. Confirm the title, start date and pay, then only the items that were negotiated or that you want in writing, such as remote days, a signing bonus or a review date. The rest is already in the offer letter.
Why is there no address or date?
This is written as an email, not a mailed letter. Copy the subject line into the subject box and the rest into the body of your email. If you need a printed letter, use the letter version of the same template.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
