This shows the first part of each sheet as it prints on Letter paper. The file also has a how-to sheet and formulas, and every column fits one page width when you print from Excel.

How to use it

Pick the month and how many rows you need and download. The sheet has one column per day with the weekday under the number, and a dropdown in every cell for P, R, V, S, H or U. One row per employee, one letter per day.

The columns on the right count each code and add up days worked (present plus remote). The total row at the bottom sums the team, so you can see at a glance how many sick days or vacation days the month used.

Things to watch

This tracker counts days, not hours; use a timesheet when you need times in and out. Leave weekends empty rather than typing a code. Attendance records are personal data, so keep the file where only managers and HR can open it, and apply your written policy, not this sheet, when you decide what counts as unpaid.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the codes?

Yes. Edit the dropdown list on the day cells and rename the count column. To count a new code, copy a count column and change the letter inside its formula.

How do I record a half day?

Pick the code for the main part of the day and write the detail in a note or on your timesheet. This sheet counts whole days.

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. COUNTIFS works the same in Google Sheets. You may need to re-create the dropdown lists.

Is what I type saved anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
