A short notice to staff or customers: what is changing, when, who it affects and whom to ask.

Fill in what you need. The preview updates as you type.

Printed large at the top. Say what is happening in a few words.

One point per line. Each line becomes a bullet.

What you type is not saved on our server.

Check the dates before you post it

A wrong date or time means a second notice and confused readers. Read the When line once more, and use an office phone or shared mailbox as the contact rather than a personal cell number.

How to use it

Give the notice a short title that says what is happening, then fill the four boxes: what, when, where and who it affects. Those print as a small table under the opening line so someone walking past can get the point in a few seconds. Leave a box empty and the table skips it.

Put the rest in Details, one point per line. Each line becomes a bullet. Add the office contact for questions, the date, and your name and title at the bottom.

Things to watch

If the notice goes on a wall or a shared board, use an office number or mailbox instead of a personal phone. When plans change, take the old notice down and post a new one with the new date rather than editing by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it for customers as well as staff?

Yes. The layout is the same. Change the Who it affects line to describe the customers, and give a customer-facing contact such as a support email or phone line.

Is there a memo version?

If the notice is internal and needs To, From and Subject lines, use the memo template instead. This one is for a notice that gets posted or sent to a group.

How long should it be?

One page. The table carries the facts, so Details should be three to six short bullets. Long background belongs in a separate attachment or a link.

Is what I type saved anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
