Race times at this pace
| 1 mile | 9:01 |
|---|---|
| 5K | 28:00 |
| 10K | 56:00 |
| Half marathon | 1:58:09 |
| Marathon | 3:56:18 |
Even-pace splits
| Mile 1 | 9:01 |
|---|---|
| Mile 2 | 18:01 |
| Mile 3 | 27:02 |
| Finish, 3.11 mi | 28:00 |
- Race times assume you hold this pace the whole way. Most people slow down over longer races, so a 5K pace usually does not carry to a marathon.
- Road race distances: half marathon 13.1094 mi (21.0975 km), marathon 26.2188 mi (42.195 km).

What to do next
How it works
Pace is time divided by distance. Pick what you want to find and fill in the other two. A time like 28:00 is read as minutes and seconds, and 1:45:30 as hours, minutes and seconds.
The results show pace per mile and per km, speed in mph, finish times for common races at the same pace, and even-pace splits you can write on your wrist.
Things to keep in mind
GPS watches often measure a race a little long because runners do not take the shortest line. If you are chasing a goal time, aim a few seconds per mile faster than the exact pace.
Race distances follow certified road course lengths: 5 km, 10 km, 21.0975 km and 42.195 km.
