This shows the first part of each sheet as it prints on Letter paper. The file also has a how-to sheet and formulas, and every column fits one page width when you print from Excel.
How to use it
Type the couple or event name and pick how many rows you want. The log has from, gift, date received, event and a Thank-you column. Go through the cards and the registry as gifts arrive and add one line each; the counter at the top shows how many notes are still to write.
Put the mailing address in the last column while you have the card in hand, so writing the notes later is one pass through the sheet. The By event sheet splits the counts between the shower, the wedding and the rest.
Things to watch
The file holds names and addresses, so be careful who you share it with. Only the exact word Sent counts, so use the dropdown.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the event list?
Yes. Change the dropdown on the Gift log sheet under Data Validation and rename the matching row on the By event sheet. Counts only match when the names are identical.
Where do cash and gift cards go?
In the Gift column, for example Check, $100 or Gift card, Target. There is no amount column; add one if you want totals.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. The formulas are COUNTA, COUNTIF and COUNTIFS, which work the same there. The dropdowns may need to be set up again.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
