How to use it
Pick your moving date and you get 32 tasks sorted from eight weeks out to after the move: mover quotes, the USPS change of address, utility transfers, the final walkthrough, the DMV. Every due date is a formula off the moving date at the top, so if the date slips you change one cell.
Pick Done as you go and the completion rate updates. Delete the rows that do not apply and add your own, such as pets, a storage unit or a car shipment, on the empty rows at the bottom with a Days value.
Things to watch
The order and timing are typical, not fixed. Lease terms, a long-distance move or a closing date can shift things. The DMV deadline after a move is set by each state, so check yours rather than relying on the 30-day placeholder in the list.

Frequently asked questions
The moving date changed. Do I start over?
No. Change the Moving date cell at the top and every due date updates. Your Done marks stay.
When do I file the USPS change of address?
About two to four weeks before the move, with a start date close to moving day. You can do it at usps.com or at any post office.
Can I add tasks?
Yes. Type the task and a Days value on an empty row at the bottom and the due date fills in and the row counts toward completion. Out of rows? Copy the last row and extend the range in the completion formulas.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
