Print it fresh each time you go out so the place and the back-by time are right. Walk the sitter through the kids' table and the where-things-are box before you leave rather than hoping they read it.

How to use it
Type where you will be and your phones, the address of the house, and one line per child with age, allergies and the bedtime routine. Add the meal and screen rules, where the first aid kit and the flashlight live, and the people to call if the sitter cannot reach you. The sheet prints on one page with the 911 line and the address at the top and Poison Control at the bottom of the contacts.
Leave it on the kitchen counter and go through it together for two minutes before you leave. For a regular sitter, print it once with the standing information and write the night's place and time in by hand; the emergency contact sheet template covers the full household list for the fridge.
Things to watch
Allergies and medication go next to the child's name, with where the EpiPen or inhaler is and when the sitter may give anything. Say out loud what you want done if a child gets hurt: call 911 for anything serious, Poison Control for anything swallowed, then you. If the sitter is new, add a neighbor who has a key and knows the kids.

Frequently asked questions
Should I put the Wi-Fi password on it?
Up to you. It keeps the sitter from asking by text at 9 pm. Leave the box empty and the row disappears, or change the password afterwards if you prefer.
What if the kids have no allergies?
Write None in that part of the line so the sitter knows you thought about it, rather than leaving a blank they might read as unknown.
Is there a version for a grandparent or an overnight stay?
Use this one and put the longer routine (morning, school drop-off) in the routine box. For a trip of several days, add the child medical consent form so a doctor can treat the child without you there.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. If you refresh the page it is gone, so print, save a PDF or download the DOCX when you are done.
